Harrison, Prof. David J.

David J. Harrison, Ph.D. (cand) is an instructional designer and educational technologist who uses technology to further educational outcomes, with a focus on online learning. His research areas include educational videos, multimedia theory, generative strategies, and cyberethics. He holds teaching certifications from Adobe, Blackboard, Inc. and the Catholic Distance Learning Network. He is nearing the completion of his Ph.D. in instructional design and technology from Old Dominion University.

In his spare time he works on independent films, commercials, and other short films, and is active in the local indie film culture in Northern Nevada. He is married with two grown children and one grandson.
