Father Adelard Labonté, S.D.B. (1925-2011)

Father Adelard Joseph “Del” Labonté, S.D.B., died early on July 24, 2011, at Saint Joseph Senior Residence in Woodbridge, N.J., at age 86.  He had been ill for a short time and was accompanied in his last hours by the prayers and the presence of his sister Antoinette Vacca and members of his Salesian community from Orange, N.J.

Father Del’s body will be received at Our Lady of the Valley Church in Orange, N.J., at 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday, July 26, and waked from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated that evening at 7:30 o’clock.

Father Del will be buried in the Salesian Cemetery in Goshen, N.Y., on July 27 at 10:30 a.m.
