National Catholic Bioethics Center – Potential Students

Dear Potential NCBC Students,

You may be currently seeking a Master of Arts in Theology, concentrating in Bioethics, and unsure if you want to take the NCBC collaborative route.  This collaborative program has been highly successful.  Father Tad Pacholczyk is the professor and is well known in the Bioethics field.  His classes are excellent and students always give me positive feedback.  Please continue reading through this entire email since there are some decisions that you need to make right away.
If you are not currently a fully accepted student here at Holy Apostles, you must begin your admissions process right away.  Please email or phone Dr. Elizabeth Rex, our Graduate Admissions Director.  She can be reached at admissions@holyapostles.edu or 860-632-3066.

The fall NCBC program begins on September 4, 2017.  If you’re interested, registration and payment are due by August 31, 2017.  Tuition to us for the three NCBC graduate courses is $2905.   NCBC is due $945 directly. There are two different mandatory seminars that are required for this program. These seminars are coming up!  In fact, the first seminar has three options for you — one takes place on August 11&12, 2017 in North Dakota (prior to the course registration deadline).  If you cannot make this one, there is another in Philadelphia on Sept. 8 & 9.  Finally, there is a third one on April 28 & 29, 2018 in Phoenix, AZ.   I need to know which seminar you will be taking ASAP – especially the North Dakota one.  Please note that you need to book your travel and hotel accommodations.  Remember that all transportation and accommodations to/from these seminars are your responsibility. There will be a later Case Studies Seminar that is also required in Philadelphia on May 5, 2018.  Please begin thinking about accommodations for this one as well.  Both seminars are necessary in order to receive credit from us and certification from the NCBC.
If you will be seeking Financial Aid, you must contact our Financial Aid Officer, Debra Johnston, to begin pursuing this prior to August.  She can be reached at 860-632-3020 or djohnston@holyapostles.edu.
Please look at the website of NCBC  to learn more about their program and the certification if you haven’t been in touch with me as of yet.  You may also email me with specific questions.  I have spoken personally with most of you but in case you are still confused with what this program is about, please don’t hesitate to email me.
 Attached are two forms:
Again, I am happy to answer any questions you may have.  I look forward to hearing from each of you.
Finally, if you are definitely participating with this, please send or scan me the completed registration form so that I can begin to get you logged into our system and that of the NCBC.
Thank you!!
