Adam's Tomb

The Holy Apostles Life League, a student-run group, is the primary pro-life organization on campus. Its activities include a prayer vigil on Saturday mornings at one of the abortion mills in Hartford during the academic year, followed by the Mass of Mercy in the seminary chapel. In addition, a Holy Hour for Life and Mercy is held at the chapel every Saturday and includes the Divine Mercy Chaplet.

The Life League also coordinates the annual bus trip for students, faculty and staff in January to the Right to Life March in Washington, D.C.

In addition, the Life League maintains the Pro-Life section of the campus library. The Pro-Life section contains a wide variety of free pamphlets, audio and video materials, for distribution to anyone on campus or in the community. These materials include homilies on life and cover all pro-life issues including abortion, fetal development, crisis pregnancy centers, chastity and abstinence, euthanasia, contraception, medical and bioethical issues, sidewalk counseling and much more. The section is open whenever the library is open.

Holy Apostles Life-League Welcomes Fr. Frank Pavone

Fr. Frank Pavone Celebrating Mass

On Friday, September 19, 2008, Holy Apostles College and Seminary welcomed Fr. Frank Pavone to campus as an invited speaker as part of our on-going Seminarian formation program.

Fr. Pavone began the day by celebrating Mass with the Seminarians, Students, Faculty and Staff in our Queen of the Holy Apostles Chapel.  Encouraging those in attendance to remember that "the Culture of Death will not win" as long as we fight without losing heart; we can take strength from the fact that "the Culture of Life has already won - Christ is risen!"

Fr. Pavone also graciously answered a few questions about the challenges facing the Pro-life movement this election cycle and his previous visits to our campus, focusing especially on his opportunity to celebrate the Burial Mass for Adam, an unborn victim of abortion, who is buried here outside our chapel.
