Stop By and Visit

Frederick Law OlmstedThe campus of Holy Apostles College and Seminary is a popular destination for Connecticut residents. One of our most popular attractions is a self-guided Tree Walk through the magnificent collection of our historic and notable trees.

The original plantings were done by the Olmsted Company whose founder, Frederick Law Olmsted, designed Central Park in New York City. The Olmsted philosophy continues to be maintained by our institution today and we regularly add to our collection of unique trees.

St. Peter's Hall

There are also a number of historic buildings on campus, including the Ebenezer W. Beckwith House (1854), currently St. Peter's Hall, which is an outstanding example of the historic octagonal buildings in Connecticut.

The oldest building on campus is the Deacon Thomas Ranney Home (1751), which dates from the earliest days of upper Middletown (now the Town of Cromwell). This house later became the home of Captain James Riley, whose life is the subject of the 2004 best-seller "Skeletons on the Zahara" by Dean King.

Please contact the Registrar's Office (860.632.3033) to set up your tour of campus today!
